To make it easier, let us give some examples!

A woman who is 5’5” and 120 lbs would wear size Small.  She is slim and not very tall.  In general from practical experience usually slim women under the height of 5’7” can wear this size.

A woman who is 5’7” and 120 lbs would wear size Medium.  She is slim and quite tall.  Let’s make sure that she has enough length for those legs!

A woman who is 5’5” and 140 lbs would wear size Medium.  She is not very tall, but she is bigger in the hip.

A woman who is 5’10” and 120 lbs, a true runway fashion model, would need size larger size for her height despite the fact that she is so slim.

A woman who is 5’7” and 160 lbs would wear this size also to have more room for her hips.  In general, larger hips mean larger size for comfort.

This size is excellent for very tall women.  Let’s say if she is a 5’11”, with an average healthy build, it would be best for her comfort to take larger size for the length.

If a woman has quite broad hips, even if she is not very tall, let’s say only 5’6”, this size could also work for her.  XL pantyhose and leggings have an extra panel at the back to give more room in the hips.

    Dear Fiore,

You make such beautiful tights, but why can’t us tall people have them too? I’m 1.88m tall… but I want beautiful legs too :-(

      Hello, Sahra,
I know what you mean. Plus size ladies also ask the same question.
I would like to say that there are a few items with patterns on them that are available in XL. This doesn’t mean you have wide hips, it just means that it will stretch more.
Also, try to select microfiber styles. Microfiber stretches more than lycra. 188 cm is not too tall actually! I know a woman who is 186 and she wears Fiore.
